Australia Day At Ballina Lakeside 2013

Well Australia Day at Ballina Lakeside started out generally dry in the morning but by early afternoon showers to rain seemed to settle in. With a full park, a few extra movies in the cinema was handy and as you can see by the pictures, those in the pool and water-park haven’t let the rain affect their fun weekend. Take a look at these campers making good use of the indoor camp kitchen and the kids in the games room. Rain is expected to continue on Sunday but at least its warm with temperatures around 27 degrees.

Activities at Ballina Lakeside this Australia Day weekend.

With temperatures being reported to be around 28 degrees its not likely to be cold but rain has been predicted.

Well, Lakeside is geared for wet weather so for the kids we will be showing our regular 6.30 pm movie and if it is wet a couple of extra free movie sessions will be shown during the day. When you are here check out the white board for movie times.

Don’t forget we have a giant indoor games room stacked with arcade games and an indoor under 5′s playground. Now we know, most kids will still enjoy the water-park and the pool even if it is raining, perhaps plan a BBQ lunch or dinner in the camp kitchen which looks over the pool and water-park. The camp kitchen is completely indoors with lots of glass so you’ll be able to keep an eye on your kids.

There is also an indoor Tv room and at the office we a have large selection of DVD’s and board games you can take to your cabin or site.

Lets all make the best of this Australia Day Weekend rain hail or shine.

New Holiday House & Long term stays

Ballina Lakeside has added a new holiday house to the range of accommodation. This addition is a three bedroom home with two bathrooms and is fitted with modern conveniences such as Foxtel TV, dishwasher and laundry.

While this home is available for holiday makers it is also available for long term stays. This means for example, if you are relocating to this region or you are a contract company wishing to place workers this may well be ideal. Pricing is comparable with furnished house rentals in the area. Available also is other long term accommodation, such as two bedroom cottages and studios.

Christmas Cabins & Villas

If you are quick you can still get a Cabin or Villa for Christmas.

Available from the 29th there are only a few Waterfront Villas and Cabin Ensuites.

And you wont have to venture out of the park once your here!

With this heat try the sparkling pool with shade and the kids will enjoy the water park. There is a games room, mini-golf, a playground with jumping pillow, a gym, wireless internet access and heaps of fun kids activities during the summer. Dog Friendly Cabins

Ballina Lakeside has introduced two (small dog) friendly cabins. The two bedroom Deluxe Spa Villas are now able to accommodate not only the family but the family pet as well. Twilight markets in Fawcett Park

Thursday evenings over the summer months, enjoy the Twilight markets in Fawcett Park and support the Westpac Lifesaver Helicopter.

Brand New Waterfront En-suites

A Brand new additional en-suite bathroom facility has been installed in the camping area on the Northern corner of the park. These water side en-suite bathrooms are designed for campers with tents, camper trailers or caravans. This is a fully grassed area with water views. For those who bring their little dog you now have access to your own en-suite bathroom. (dogs by arrangement only)

The Hub

The Hub is a group of four specially designed, two bedroom / two bathroom cottages built around a private under outdoor barbeque.

Each cabin offers above average comfort for up to 8 people so The Hub is designed for Family Reunions, business meetings and common interest groups The Hub is let in conjunction with the huge air conditioned Lakeside Function Room to facilitate group activities if required. Additional cabins near the Hub area are available for larger groups.
